CURRENT STATUS, LIMITATION AND CHALLENGES
We are excited to announce that the Department of Food Technology, Haldia Institute of Technology, Haldia is organizing a two – day National Seminar cum Workshop entitled “FOOD SAFETY AND QUALITY MANAGEMENT: CURRENT STATUS, LIMITATION AND CHALLENGES- (FSQM 2018)” on October 5 & 11, 2018. It will serve as a great opportunity for all B. Tech. Food Technology students and food industry professionals to enrich themselves with a comprehensive understanding on relevance of Food Safety, Food Analysis and Quality Management related to Food and Allied Industries.
On 5th of October, training workshop is scheduled focusing on Food Safety Training and Certification (FoSTaC) for final year students and food industry professionals. Simultaneously, Food Safety Management System (FSMS) ISO 22000:2018 workshop will be conducted for pre-final year students on that very day.
On 11th of October, a National Seminar is scheduled which serves as a great platform to transmit the food safety and quality knowledge among students, researchers, professors and industry professionals across the country. The forum includes professionals from Adani Wilmar Ltd., Emami Ltd., ITC foods, Cotecna Inspection India Pvt. Ltd., Novozymes South Asia, Tata Chemicals, Allies Blenders and Distillers (ABD), Dabur India, Indorama Agrochemicals Pvt. Ltd., etc.
An Industrial Symposium on “Clean and Safe Meat” is going to be scheduled along with the seminar to aware people regarding safe meat processing, storage and consumption.
